About James A. Mahathey & JAM FILM Productions

I'm a Photographer and Filmmaker.

I have had a camera in my hands since I was 4 years old.  I fell in love with photography when I realized that I could tell a story with the images that I was taking.  

​

I studied at Point Park University and Pittsburgh Filmmakers in Pittsburgh, PA.  Once out of school I began a career in the film industry doing Location Scouting and Management for Feature Films, TV and Commercials.



While working on these larger projects I still try and make time to work on my own personal projects.  Whether that is in my still photography work or in  the short films I make.

JAM FILM Productions:

I started JAM FILM Productions back when I was in film school.  This small business has grown slowly over the year's.  I now am shooting commercials for small businesses, renting location equipment to large productions filming in Western Pennsylvania as well as still doing my Photography.
